Well Hunter drew me a picture today and I thought that I had to record it because it was so funny and sad at the same time.
To give you the background info, Hunter LOVES to draw…and he is really good at it. I have on my wall at work a picture of our new green truck with our four wheeler in it. And one day at church he decided to draw his own rendition of the Second Coming picture of Jesus in the clouds with all the angels around him. It looks REALLY good for a five year old drawing from memory...either that or I am just a super proud father....anyways
When I got home from work today I was super tired. Wendy took Brigham to the doctor for his shots and I sat down on the computer to finish the Kiddie Kollege DVD that I had been working on. Hunter and Levi were playing with the water in the back yard. Levi came in and was talking to me when Hunter called his name. Levi ran into the kitchen to see what Hunter wanted and then immediately came running back to my side. It was then that I heard running water gushing into my house. I got up out of my seat and Hunter was standing outside through the open back door to the house with his finger on the hose end shooting water into my kitchen.
I yelled at him to stop and turn off the water and come in. He did so reluctantly and then I asked him what he was trying to do. He said the obvious “Get Levi wet.” It was a little funny but I did have a lot of water on my floor. I told him to get a towel from the bathroom and that he had better clean up all of the water or he would get his bum spanked. He wasn’t very happy at that.
He got the towel and after a while I inspected his work. He had missed some spots that I pointed out to him and then I went back on the computer while he finished up.
Like I mentioned, I was really tired so I feel asleep while editing. When I woke up this picture was lying in front of me. I got up and Hunter said "Did you see the picture I drew you?" How could I have missed it, it was practically lying on me. I said yes and asked why he drew it. He said that he was mad at me because I made him clean up his mess. I asked who he thought should clean up his mess to which he promptly replied, “Mommy.”
Anyways the picture was so cute and sad, that I had to save it.

That is a very sweet picture. I love how kids make us feel when we are trying to teach them a lesson.
He is a good artist. I also love that he drew the second coming.
Great kids you have.
I would love to see the other pictures you said he drew. I love when kids draw what they feel. I think it is funny that ALL kids think mommy should clean up ALL the messes! :)
What a great Mothers day story! You look super mean in that picture! You big mean Daddy! Love the story!
That is too funny. My favorite was that he thought mommy should clean up the mess...that's what we do best! Cute story.
