Sunday night at about 8:00 at night we were headed home from West Point. We hit road construction in Kaysville. We decided to just stay on the freeway hoping the construction wouldn't be long. Well 2o minutes into it Brigham woke up crying and that woke up Levi. We were going 0 to 5 mph and there was no end in sight. I finally decided to hold Brigham and sit by Levi in the back. This made them stop crying but Brigham still wanted to be home and sleeping. One hour later we reached the next exit and everyone had merged into ONE LANE. Crazy. So we had now been on the road over an hour and still had 45 minutes to go. I put Brigham in back in his car seat and he cried the rest of the way home. We finally got home at 10:00. It was such a long drive. I was so glad to be home.I was listening to the Doug Wright show today and you was in the same mess and mentioned how mad it made him. He didn't see any reason to take it down to one lane. He thought they would of been fine with just taking to down to two. He was upset.
We were down for my parents farewell so I will post pictures of the weekend soon.

Oh my! That reminds me when we drove home from Washington DC a few years ago. We made good time and were one hour from home when we hit construction with nowhere to go. It was ABSOLUTELY miserable. It took us a little over an hour to travel just under 5 miles. The bad part was there was no exit to take before then. Sorry.
YUCKY!! I am SOO sorry you were in that mess. Glad you got home safe!
WOW!!!! That is a REALLY bad drive. It was good to see you. Your parents did such a great job.
my parents got stuck in that mess sunday night, too. they were on their way here from idaho. glad you made it home safely. hope the kids weren't too upset. it's sooo hard to get stuck when you've got little ones.
my cousin and her family moved to west point recently. i've been wondering where the world (where in utah, anyway) it was. now i have some idea. :)
