Less fortunate than I....and lets face it, who isn't.

Today, Hunter, Levi and I were in the truck doing what we always do in the truck...we sing our manly songs from Wicked....Go ahead and laugh.

Well anyways today the song "Popular" was starting which starts out with these lyrics. "Whenever I see someone, less fortunate than I, and lets face it, who isn't less fortunate than I."

At this point, Hunter stopped singing and asked "Dad, what does fortunate mean?" So I explained to him what it means, and why the Galinda would use the word there.

As we were pulling into our driveway I asked Hunter "So are we fortunate, or less fortunate?"

It didn't take him a second to respond, "Fortunate."

To which I responded, "Good job, why are we fortunate."

"We have lots of friends."

"Yes, and we have a nice house too." I said.

Hunter paused for a moment and said "Dad, some peoples houses are more fortunate than ours. They have stairs and a view. Do you know what a view is Dad."

I acted like I didn't, so he continued on. "It is when your house is on a mountain and you can go outside and see a far way away."

I was just laughing.

Hunter is so excited to move from this house. We will find him in his room, looking on KSL Classifieds under houses. He is good enough to know how to put in all of the right information, like the price range we want, and where we would like to live. (Unfortunately the "where we would like to live" changes quite often.)

Hunter is also excited to tell everyone in the ward and around that we are moving. Wendy and I are constantly having to tell people that we are not moving any time soon. WE finally told him that it wouldn't be this year, but maybe next, hoping that would stop him spreading the rumor.

The next day our neighbor said, "Hunter said you were moving in 2010."

We can't win.

Here is the latest house that I am in love with. It has stairs and a view....but we don't care for the location.

I am totally laughing at that little kid! How many kids really spend time on the KSL classifieds looking for houses with a view? I love it!
p.s. I know a really good home builder if you're interested. ;)

Such a cute boy...and so smart! But,I am definitely NOT in favor of the Nixon clan moving. Tell little Hunter that we have lived here 7 years now with little more view that the kids riding in the culdesac! We do have stairs, but they are such a pain to vacuum that I'd get rid of them if I could! BTW, that song is the ringtone on my phone right now!
